Will my ticket guarantee me a race on the big screen?
Your ticket will guarantee you entry to the venue to experience the band performances. To be in with a chance of racing on the big screen you'll need to turn up for race registration between 7pm-8pm. Our host will pull names at random and you'll need to make yourself known and get to the stage asap!
Is this event for serious gamers?
Whilst we welcome a wide range of experienced Mario Kart players to Marioke, our events focus more on the atmosphere created by having an 8 piece band playing along to incredible music from our favourite game, with a smaller focus on the competitive side so please keep that in mind when joining us!
How will players be selected?
Players will be drawn at random by our host. To be eligible for the draw you'll need to arrive for race registration between 7pm and 8pm. Every round will have 3 players drawn at random (along with the winner from the previous race) - we'll move quickly through this so please stay aware, you'll have 10 seconds to make yourself known to us before we move on to the next pick!
How will the races run?
We'll run races based on a 'winner stays on' format so we can get as many people racing as possible. The final will consist of those with the best winning streaks throughout the night.
What version of Mario Kart will you be using?
We'll be using Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on the Switch
Any other specs I should know about?
150cc / normal items / all characters allowed / no smart steering / no auto acceleration
