With 2x GRAMMY Awards and a career spanning over six decades, Bartz’s masterful approach to the alto saxophone has redefined the boundaries of jazz improvisation.

Rising to prominence in the 1960s, Bartz has performed alongside legendary figures like **Miles Davis, Max Roach, Charles Mingus,** and **Art Blakey**, as well as recent collaborations with **Ali Shaheed Muhammad** and **Adrian Younge** for their acclaimed **Jazz Is Dead** series.

This year, Bartz unveils his first solo recordings in over a decade—a highly anticipated dual project produced by Grammy-winning producer Om’Mas Keith (Frank Ocean, John Legend).

Sílvia Pérez Cruz is one of the most captivating voices in contemporary music.

Described by Jorge Drexler as “a voice that marks a generation,” her sound blends Iberian, Latin American, jazz, and flamenco influences with an artistry that is unmistakably her own. Known for her powerful live performances, Sílvia’s concerts are immersive, emotional journeys that leave audiences captivated.

She received the prestigious Spain’s National Prize for Contemporary Music in 2022 and a Latin Grammy nomination for her collaboration with Residente on the song ‘313’ this year.

In April 2023, she released Toda la vida, un día, featuring collaborations with Natalia Lafourcade and Salvador Sobral among others. Sílvia has performed this recording in more than 80 concerts throughout 2023 and 2024, touring numerous countries in Europe, South America, Asia and the United States.

With a career encompassing critically acclaimed works like 11 de Noviembre and Farsa (género imposible), as well as award-winning compositions for the animated film Josep, Sílvia Pérez Cruz has consistently pushed artistic boundaries, solidifying her place as one of the most innovative voices of her generation.

Over the past twenty plus years, Cass McCombs has journeyed a singular path as an uncompromising song-carver, guitarist and singer. Along with the finest squadron of collaborators and bandmates, his music travels gracefully over seemingly contradictory terrain, from infectious guitar riffage to intensely personal lyricism.

In August 2025, Cass released his newest album “Interior Live Oak” to rave reviews including 5 stars from the Guardian, an 8.1 from Pitchfork who said “16 songs and not a throwaway among them…,” a 9/10 from Uncut Magazine, and a rave from Mojo magazine who said “...this is the kind of record it’s impossible to be casual about.”

Interior Live Oak is his most personal album to date, and, more than anyprevious record, shows his vast range as a lyricist and musician. Comprised of frontman Joe Keogh, bassist Tomas Sperring, and keyboardist Henry Wyeth, Amber Run have managed not just to continue but to thrive on their own terms through making music together.

The trio first captivated audiences in 2014 with the release of ‘5AM’, where they built lasting relationships with a fanbase who found relatability in their deeply moving songwriting. Through their subsequent albums, ‘For A Moment, I Was Lost’ and ‘Philophobia’ and 'How To Be Human', the band have continued to provide the soundtrack to the lives of people all over the world with songs that often cut to the quick of life’s more difficult moments.

Through the years, their early 2014 single "I Found", has taken on a life of its own; currently sitting at over half a billion streams having found viral success connecting with a new generation of fans on TikTok, where millions of people have created videos inspired by the track.

The Mystery of the Bulgarian Voices (Le Mystere des Voix Bulgares) Female Vocal Choir known in the past as The Bulgarian State Television Female Vocal Choir is an ensemble of rare artistic gift and enormous popular appeal. Created in the early 1950’s the choir’s first mission was to record authentic and arranged for multiple voices choral folk songs to be recorded and broadcast first on the radio and later on TV.

The Swiss music producer Marcel Cellier discovered the beauty of the Bulgarian folk songs, folk singers, their unique voices and choral skills and in 1975 released his first album with songs performed by the choir – Volume I, which he called “Le Mystere des Voix Bulgares” (The Mystery of the Bulgarian Voices). The album soon became a best seller. In 1987 he released Volume II which in 1990 was awarded a Grammy Award for Best Traditional Folk Recording. It was at that time that the choir adopted the name "Le Mystere des Voix Bulgares". Since then, the choir has performed more than 1,500 concerts outside Bulgaria in some of the most prestigious venues in the world. Choir members have also worked with artists as diverse as Kate Bush and U2, the songs of the choir have been sampled and remixed by Drake, DJ Tiesto, FKA Twigs, Bring Me The Horizon and many others.

This year’s La Linea Festival proudly presents Mexican singer-songwriter Silvana Estrada, winner of the 2022 Latin Grammy for Best New Artist. She returns to London for a special performance at Union Chapel on Wednesday 29 April.

One of the most compelling new voices in Latin music, Estrada has captivated audiences worldwide with her emotionally charged songwriting and the distinctive sound of the cuatro venezolano. Her music blends the folk traditions of her native Veracruz with contemporary influences, creating songs that feel both timeless and fiercely personal.

Following her sold-out show at EartH Theatre in 2023, she comes back to London with her widely acclaimed new album Vendrán Suaves Lluvias – hailed by Rolling Stone as “her most powerful album yet.” With her spellbinding vocals and poetic lyricism, this promises to be one of the standout performances of this year’s festival.
