South London’s Alt Rock/ Punk Trio, Dead Air have been causing an early stir on the live circuit with their arrestingly fresh brand of Rock. They kicked 2025 off into high gear with the successful release of their single ‘Die’ and E.P ‘Elements’, which saw the three-piece develop a rapidly growing fanbase on TikTok, as well as acclaim in the UK from BBC 6Music, John Kennedy (Radio X), BBC Radio 1, Kerrang! Radio, Planet Rock, Punktastic, Distorted Sound and KEXP in the US.

**This will be the LAST @shacklewellarms all-dayer of 2025 - on 22 Nov we have five new acts from around the world for you to meet:**

**@keepva** are shoegazers from Richmond, VA whose noise has been described as “grand and majestic … ensconced in an all-consuming mist of heavy noise” (Audiotree). Reference points are The Cure, The Smashing Pumpkins and Slowdive but that only scratches the surface.

**@flasydband** are New Yorkers, self-described as “pissed and horny”. It’s a punk project that blends raw intensity with fearless attitude, confronting masculinity and industry norms, turning sexuality into a weapon and rebellion into anthems. One to watch for sure.

**@whyhorses\_** are a five-piece collective channelling post-punk grit, post-disco rhythm, and dance-punk urgency into something raw, romantic, and completely their own. Their debut EP is out 25th of October on Bwgibwgan records, give it a listen!

**@norman.d.loco** is a shoegaze/'guitar music' project with internet archive and digital media influences. Drawing melodic inspiration from late 90's alternative bands like 'swirlies' and 'sweet trip' whilst sonically utilising IDM and Vaporwave production elements to degenerate their music. Norman is a four piece, based and formed in London, United Kingdom and is entirely produced and mixed by the frontman 'Salad' Armstead.

**@of\_iyrn** is a band from the Black Country, based in London. They’ve just finished recording a body of music - the first two singles of which are out via Joy of Life International (Ben Woods from The Golden Dregs’ label), with a third to watch out for on 18th November. They’ve supported the likes of Cloth and Sylvie and we can assure you it’ll be worth coming early to see them.

**Isabel**: Isabel was the lead singer and songwriter of the band Pumarosa, she is currently playing under her own name with new material and some new collaborators. Expect tender and haunting songs pared down to the bone. Searing lyrics, accompanied by guitar and violin. Think PJ Harvey White Chalk era meets Leonard Cohen and David Lynch. Whilst with Pumarosa she released two albums on Fiction Records; The Witch and Devastation.

Since 1989 BR Wallers has recorded & hand-distributed a bewildering array of impossibly hard-to-find home-made cassette-albums, under a variety of guises.

The songs on these tapes often provided the basis of the Country Teasers band's live shows and official releases.

Born to a Ugandan father and White British mother and raised on Dartmoor, Lawi Anywar's identity, in music and reality, is an exploration of dualities. Sonically influenced as much by Grace Jones as Godspeed You! Black Emperor, as much Steve Reich as Sade, and as much The Mars Volta as Bad Brains, Anywar's music exists in a groove driven common ground between funk, psychedelia and shoegaze.

Anywar's second album, Centenarian, explores themes of regret and fears of dying without healing from past mistakes, with lead singles I See You and Lordvessel exemplifying an evolution in Anywar's shimmering, prog-tinged psych funk compositions, and representing a step up in his exploration of tension, release and locking into grooves.

South East London born alternative indie artist Eli Dayo’s distinctive sound fuses ethereal melodies, introspective lyricism, and fearless authenticity, with a voice that moves seamlessly from hauntingly delicate to raw and powerful, unfiltered energy.

Her music is a reflection of lived experiences, exploring themes of vulnerability, feminism, resilience, and the complexities of the human condition. Sonically, Eli resists categorisation, blending the textures of indie, alternative, R&B, trip-hop, and rock into a soundscape that feels wholly her own. This genre-bending approach has made her one of the most exciting new voices in the independent scene.

**The Orchestra (For Now)** operate in sprawling improvisations that blur jazz, post-rock and freeform experimentation. A project constantly in flux, they stretch and dismantle structure in pursuit of something stranger and more expansive.
