**Ethel** is a Paris-born international artist known for crafting reflective, genre-blurring songs that blend elements of soul, indie, and alternative R&B. Signed to the iconic +1 Records in New York City, her music has resonated worldwide, with her top track “Andromeda” surpassing 10 million streams.

Raised in a musical family, she began playing drums at a young age — an early connection to rhythm and sound that continues to shape her instinctive, emotionally driven approach to music. A passionate dancer, Ethel also sees movement and performance as essential extensions of her songwriting, creating immersive live experiences where choreography, sound, and emotion are deeply intertwined. Inspired by visionary artists like David Byrne, Prince, Stevie Wonder, and Solange, she brings a strong visual and physical presence to her work, blurring the lines between music and performance art.

After spending time in London’s vibrant music scene, Ethel returned to Paris, where she began a close collaboration with producer Banshee The Great. Together, they’ve developed a sound that’s both intimate and expansive, layered with warmth, space, and intention — a sonic world built on shared trust, experimentation, and emotional depth. The two are now working on a collaborative project — a continuation of their creative partnership — set for release in spring 2026.

The upcoming project, shaped by both artists’ perspectives, explores themes of yearning, emotional invisibility, growth, and the remnants of past relationships. Drawing inspiration from iconic albums like In Rainbows (Radiohead, 2007), Endless (Frank Ocean, 2016), Negro Swan (Blood Orange, 2018), and Dummy (Portishead, 1994), Banshee and Ethel aim to create a cohesive atmosphere throughout the project that is both intimate and cinematic. It serves as a continuation of Ethel’s debut EP, The Burden of Fever Dreams, and a deeper exploration of the emotional and sonic world they’ve been building together. The project will be released via +1 Records.

A night of boundary-pushing alternative music from three of the UK’s most exciting rising acts.

**Winter Gardens** blend shoegaze dreamscapes with post-punk energy and gothic undercurrents, powered by soaring dual vocals and cinematic textures. Fresh from European festival stages and BBC Radio 1 airplay, their sound is as immersive as it is emotionally raw.

**Oliver Beardmore** brings his acclaimed fusion of shoegaze, alt-pop, and lo-fi songwriting, shaped in studios like Real World and praised by BBC Radio 1 and Blur’s Dave Rowntree alike. Expect haunting melodies, layered production, and razor-sharp songwriting that echoes Elliott Smith and Imogen Heap in equal measure.

Opening the night, **Shtëpi** channel chaotic art-punk energy with a furious live presence. Gigging alongside names like Geese and Lounge Society, and recently longlisted for Glastonbury’s Emerging Talent 2024, this Brighton-based five-piece are one of the most electrifying new acts on the circuit.

Separately, when Jazz and Grime are in the club, the feeling and moves are ridiculous. Put them together, it starts to give a feeling that’s so unfamiliar it’s hard to comprehend. Producers have been exploring this combination for years, but it’s never had its own stage to appreciate how it could be used in a club and for the dance floor. This December, we’re taking it to Hootenanny’s, with a curated line of DJs and musicians to explore the combination on a Saturday night.

Roska will be playing a very special, one-of-a-kind, UK Grime inspired set.

With Commodo introducing new instrumentation to his 140 speciality.

Expect Footshooter to warm up with a bag of knowledge from the UK/Electronic Jazz scene.

Rob de Boer is a half-Dutch, half-Irish singer, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and visual artist based between Dublin and London.

His music draws on songwriting legends such as Bill Withers as well as contemporary voices in the alternative soul-jazz space, including Puma Blue, Oscar Jerome, and Michael Kiwanuka.

Known for his signature audio-visual style, smooth vocals, and evocative lyricism, Rob’s multidisciplinary work in film and photography has taken him across the globe. His sound blends Latin and Afro-rhythmic sensibilities with the warmth of Motown blues, funk, and soul.

Childhood friends, Will Foot and Lewis Henderson's early love of soul developed after discovering Lewis’ dad’s record collection. After finally bringing their musical heritage to the forefront with their debut DJ set at Deptford’s bunker club 6 years ago, they have since taken their credible and unique club night around the UK, performing at the likes of Glastonbury Festival and Green Man, alongside residencies at Manchester’s YES and London’s Moth Club.

Whether behind a turntable, dancing out front or in discussion, their sheer love and passion for soul is infectious, as is the spark of friendship and mutual musical appreciation between the two of them. 31-years-old but with old heads on their sharply dressed young shoulders, they have emerged as the new face of Northern soul, Bringing the movement back into the conversation of modern dance music.
