Ars Nova Workshop

Ars Nova Workshop presents the Detroit-based experimental noise duo Wolf Eyes, with Marshall Allen's Ghost Horizons, at Solar Myth on Monday, February 17th.

Formed in 1996 by Nate Young, the corrosive and blistering Wolf Eyes has mutated through a number of different forms, built around the core duo of Young and John Olson. Collaboration has been a constant throughout their quarter-century-plus history, including meetings with experimentalists like Anthony Braxton, Merzbow, Marshall Allen and Richard Pinhas. It is the focus of the duo’s latest release, Difficult Messages, which finds the pair colliding with a number of fellow non-traditionalists. For this show they’ll be joined by Marshall Allen & DMHotep of Ghost Horizons and the Sun Ra Arkestra.
