FAQs

How Do I Make Arrangements for ADA Accommodations?

Deep Cuts

Deep Cuts is a fully accessible facility with a push button entry, interior entry ramp, and ADA bathrooms. Music shows are held in an open floor general admission type space, and Deep Cuts is happy to make further seating/access accommodations per request. For more questions call (781) 219-3815 or email the venue at showlove@deepcuts.rocks.

Crystal Ballroom

Once you have purchased your ticket(s) please email the venue directly at ballroom@csbtheatres.com or call (617) 625-4088 with your requirements, requests, and/or questions. ADA accommodations are first come-first serve, so we strongly recommend reaching out ahead of time. If you request assistance on the night of, we will do our best to accommodate you, but options may be limited. All levels of the Ballroom, including restrooms and all seating areas, are accessible via elevator or ramp.

How do I get to the venue?

Deep Cuts

By car, ride share, or taxi, navigate to 21 Main Street, Medford, MA (exit 23 off of I-93). By MBTA, there's a bus stop (Main St @ High St) right out front, (#s95, 96, & 101), or take the T on the Green line (Main St & College Ave), which is about a 20 minute walk or brief taxi or ride share ride.

Crystal Ballroom

The venue is located at 55 Davis Square, Somerville, MA. By car, ride share, or taxi navigate to 55 Davis Square. By MBTA, take the Red Line or 87, 88, 89, 90, 94, and 96 bus lines to Davis Square.

The Crystal Ballroom entrance doorway is on the front of the building, between Mr. Crepe and the Somerville Theatre entrance; above the door it says ‘HOBBS BUILDING.’ The Crystal Ballroom is on the second floor of the building, up one flight of stairs. There is also an elevator just beyond the stairs that you can use to access the facility.

Where can I park?

Deep Cuts

Metered on-street parking is available in Medford Square, and there are several metered municipal lots as well. (Parking is free after 6PM)

Crystal Ballroom

Parking is limited in the Davis Square area to on-street metered parking and two small municipal lots (one at Holland and Buena Vista streets, and the other at Herbert and Day streets). Meters on different streets have various length options ranging from 15 minutes to three hours. Many of the immediate streets around the theater have 3 hour meters, including much of Dover Street and Meacham Road. We recommend giving yourself plenty of time to find parking, as traffic can be heavy on weekends and during evening rush hour. Most Crystal patrons take the MBTA Red Line subway to the Davis Square stop, which is immediately adjacent to the theater. We strongly recommend taking public transportation, ride share, or taxi options if possible!

What is there to eat & drink?

All venues in Massachusetts require that patrons show a valid Government Issued ID to be served alcohol, and both of our venues may require you to wear a wristband. No outside food or drinks allowed - including reusable water bottles - so please plan accordingly! Both venues provide complimentary water to all guests.

Deep Cuts

There is a full food menu on Thursdays until 8PM, including sandwiches and bar food. Deep Cuts also serves their own brewed beer and hard seltzer, as well as a full bar menu, including cocktails, NA beers, and sodas.

Crystal Ballroom

Crystal Ballroom serves hot dogs, assorted candies, and movie theatre popcorn (courtesy of their sister venue the Somerville Theater!) from the bar. Crystal Ballroom has 2 full bars serving beers, wines, and cocktails as well as NA beers and sodas.

What to bring

Please bring your pals, your community spirit, and your love of melancholy tunes, weary wails, and mighty riffs.

What NOT to bring, thank you very much

Please do not bring skateboards, luggage, bikes, or strollers. Handbags are acceptable but are subject to search. Large tote bags and backpacks are NOT ALLOWED on the floor at either venue.

No weapons are allowed of any kind at either venue – knives, multi-tools, mace, brass knuckles, spiked key rings, etc. No jewelry or accessories that may be used as a weapon - spikes, chains, etc.

No EDIBLES, WEED VAPES, or DRUGS of any kind. No smoking: regular vapes are allowed in, but if you use them inside, they will be confiscated.

What is your photo/video policy?

No professional or flash photography is allowed unless permission has been granted in advance by the festival. Please email somergloom@gmail.com for press inquiries.
