Formed in the clearing mist of 2021, Trip Westerns are a 5 piece rock n roll outfit, based in Brighton with “their roots comfortably buried in the soil of mid-20th century rock and R&B, intertwined with lashings of surf and psychedelia - reveling in the twangy notes of spaghetti western soundtracks (see Ennio Morricone).” - Otis Hayes.

The band have quickly built a reputation across Brighton’s scene as one of the city’s most vivid and dizzying live acts in their brief existence, twisting the town’s famous narrow cobbled streets into a Sergio Leone desert backdrop, alongside nods to sun-soaked 60’s R&B and 21st century fuzz-drenched garage rock.

Through their maniacal live set the quintet have garnered a faithful following around the UK and Europe with multiple sell out shows under their leather tooled belts as well as touring with The Nude Party on their E.U. tour and slots supporting bands such as Frankie and the Witch Fingers and Night Beats.

With songs about rainbows in the sky, trips to Icy Lakes in the Winter, and getting out of bed, such is the innocent simplicity to Hutch’s world that it conjures an extraordinary magic all of its own. In a musical landscape so populated with the harsh rigours of post-punk urbanity, it seemed that, somehow, something as simple as focusing on nature’s elemental beauties could too provide its own cathartic pleasures - “We just choose to focus on the good things and small moments of peace in a big hectic world.”

Now arriving with their first major release to date - Hutch’s Smile and Wave EP reclines bedecked in jangly guitars, time-jolting tempo shifts, angelic 4 part vocal harmonies, rosy-eyed harp-twinkles and rapturous psychedelic explorations. Mingling the lysergic gooiness of The Babe Rainbow and King Gizzard’s Paper-mâché Dream Balloon, the lilting lyricism of Stella Donnelly and the subtly complex wholesomeness of Her’s - Smile and Wave is an EP coated in a joyous glow and refreshing sense of childlike-whimsy; a welcoming escape from reality and a cosy ascent towards radiant paradise.

Second EP teaser 'Ice on the Lake' is due on 18th January, and provides the wintry follow-up to the summery heights of September ‘23 single 'The Bow', which gained support across the indie press from the likes of So Young, Shindig!, Hard of Hearing, Wax, The Indie Scene, Blogotheque, The Most Radicalist and Post-Brexit Pop.

Bristol outfit Dreamwave have been making a name for themselves with an energetic brand of psychedelia and garage rock with unpredictable live shows, in sold out rooms across the UK.

Released via Velvet Echoes Records in May 2024, their debut EP ‘Dreamwave and the Mindcave’ received high praise across radio, online platforms, and print media. Including support from NME, BBC, KEXP and Radio X.

Sleep Outside are a Celtic emo three piece from Cardiff. Since the band formed in 2021, they have released two anthemic EP's stacked with math-pop influence which has come to form their signature melancholic sound. Having already shared the stage with emo giants in Tigers Jaw, Free Throw and Michael Cera Palin, the band have rapidly become a scene staple in their own right as they continue to innovate and break genre conformity through the use of harp and synth bass. Their latest offering arrives off the back of sellout shows across the UK & Canada. 'Tell Me' weaves catchy riffs akin to the likes of Don Broco with the earnest lyrics and playful musicianship that have earned them over half a million streams to date.
