The Franklin Electric is a Montreal-based indie folk project led by singer-songwriter and Producer Jon Matte. Evolving from a collective of friends and musicians, the project now captivates audiences worldwide with its intimate and emotive sound.

Jon's lyrics explore self-discovery, relationships, and the intricacies of the human experience. With a Juno nomination for Breakthrough Group of the Year in 2019 and an ADISQ nomination for Anglophone Performance of the Year in 2024, their impact continues to grow. After releasing Oh Brother, in 2023, a very personal collection of songs most where Jon delves into his relationship with his brother while raising awareness about mental health issues.

In August 2024, The Franklin Electric unveiled Victory Songs (Vol. 1), an EP that grapples with the themes of choices and the realities of winning and losing. Looking ahead, they are set to release the full album titled Victory Songs in May 2025, promising to further enrich their narrative-driven sound. With each release, The Franklin Electric invites fans on a profound and resonant musical journey.

Flyte is the project of English songwriters Will Taylor and Nick Hill. The pair met at secondary school, eventually settling in Hackney, London. Taylor’s parents were both English teachers and inevitably, various literary influences trickled into the duo’s music- the band taking it’s name from Sebastian Flyte of Evelyn Waugh’s Brideshead Revisited.

After the release of two critically acclaimed albums, they have established themselves as an influential mainstay. The Loved Ones (2017) recorded with Burke Reid (Julia Jacklin, Courtney Barnett) in the Australian outback, explored the ways in which people struggle to process love. The albums’ crafted storytelling and ambitious, harmonic arrangements earned it the title ‘Best British debut of the year’ from the Sunday Times.

Second album ‘This Is Really Going To Hurt’ (2021), took them out to Los Angeles to work with collaborator Andrew Sarlo (Big Thief, Bon Iver). Seeing the sound move into a more simplistic and confessional mode, focusing entirely on the aftermath of relationships ending.

After extensive touring of Europe and North America, Flyte have teamed back up with Andrew Sarlo, this time at London’s famous Konk Studios, to record their most confident and collaborative work to date. The latest self titled album, inspired by Taylor’s relationship with partner and artist Billie Marten, explores love in all its early forms and features artists such as Laura Marling, Bombay Bicycle Club and M Field.

HACHIKU is the brainchild of German-Australian producer Anika Ostendorf, who writes and produces worldly indie rock with an alt-pop appeal alongside band members Jessie Warren (she/her; bass, BVs), Georgia Smith (they/she; guitar, BVs) and Simon Reynolds (he/him - drums). Through the release of their self-recorded and self-mixed EP Hachiku (2017) and critically acclaimed debut LP I’ll Probably Be Asleep (2020), Hachiku has steadily built a loyal global fan base hinged on catchy melodies, shimmering walls of sound, and their praised live performances. They have seen consistent support and acclaim from NPR’s All Songs Considered, Bandcamp, DIY Magazine, Clash Magazine and NME among others, and are continuously invited to support household names around the UK, Europe, U.S. and so-called-Australia including Courtney Barnett, Jen Cloher, The Breeders, José González, Snail Mail and more, including festival slots at Iceland Airwaves, SXSW and Melbourne Music Week. Ostendorf is also a frequent collaborator of Jen Cloher’s, co-producing their ARIA, AMP, AIR and Music Victoria-nominated fifth album I Am The River, The River Is Me (2023), and has landed syncs in the US including on Netflix’s Never Have I Ever, HBO Max’s The Sex Lives of College Girls and Audi’s mysterious 13-minute ‘Led Balloon’ film commercial.
