Kanak is an American rock band fronted by singer/songwriter Tom Kanach. The members of his band are guitarists Johnny Rao (David Johansen Band / Sylvain Sylvain), Peter Wood (Dramarama) as well as two mainstays of the NJ music scene, bassist Joe Rowley and drummer Steve Brown. Their music is influenced by classic rock (e.g. The Kinks), 90s alternative (e.g. Nirvana) and the NY punk scene of the 70s (e.g. Dead Boys).

James grew up in Troy, Alabama, where he was raised by the women in his family. He realized he could seek a career as a musician at age six when he watched a local musician play covers at a family function, and began playing the guitar at age sixteen when he was gifted one for Christmas. His friend was the frontman for the local band Fire Mountain and told him that he could begin opening for them if he started performing original songs. At that point, he began writing his own music.

At the age of 21, James moved to Birmingham, Alabama to pursue music professionally. It was here that he met Adrian Marmolejo and formed their band, Early James and the Latest. In a world of TikTok artists who have never stepped on a stage, Lost Stars is here to remind people of the unexplainable feeling of energetic and fun live music. Kansas City natives Damian Malnar (vocals / keys) and Charley Holden (guitar / bass / vocals) were childhood bandmates and friends, but it wasn't until reuniting at Belmont University in Nashville, TN that Lost Stars was formed.

In 2019, the band recorded & released their first EP, Sirens + Light, and began playing shows across the USA on their own. When Covid-19 hit, the band wrote & posted as many songs as possible. *After the 3 year hiatus, DZD went to work putting instrumentation and melody behind the lyrics Dale wrote on the inside. Dale also hit up some old friends to be part of the comeback. The result is the current stream of dope-ass singles including “This Time” feat. The Elovaters, “Pathological” feat. Bumpin Uglies, and of course, “Her Melody” feat. HIRIE. In addition, ska-punk-fan-favorite, “Neighbors,” featuring BALLYHOO! was also finally released on the new 12-song LP, “Off The Rip.”*

*In early 2024 a seismic lineup shift occurred. A new DZD formed, combining some of the original cast of the ZDubs with some new and prolific musicians. Among those players is Tyler “T. Nasty” Vickery (bass and vocals), formerly of Sun-Dried Vibes, and Nekoro “Neko” Williams (bass and vocals), formerly of People’s Blues of Richmond. These two additions, along with OG DZD member and Berklee grad, Pat “Sheen” Shine on lead guitar, have invigorated DZD’s classic sound with renewed energy and spirit. The lineup: a “Snail,” a “Sheen,” a “T. Nasty”, and a “Neko” has manifested a “sauce” (as Mellodose says) on top of the live show that may possibly be too spicy for some.*

*DZD’s obsession with performing live keeps the wheels on the tour van turning continuously across the country. Party Nerves are a Philadelphia, PA trio that takes instrumental surf and runs it through a bad dream. Three musicians from three different countries decided to start a surf band having listened to absolutely zero surf music, and Party Nerves was the result; someone once called it 'post-surf' and they liked that enough not to question it. They have inspired some exuberant mosh pits and some truly wild dancing. Party Nerves released their second EP - Go Broke or Go Home in Late 2024 and are currently writing their full-length debut. Since 2009, Skinny Lister have been at the forefront of first-rate folk/punk in the UK. Making waves with the irrepressible energy of their debut album ‘Forge and Flagon’ in 2012, the London-formed crew went on to sign with Xtra Mile Recordings for the release of their classic second album ‘Down On Deptford Broadway’ (2014) and so beginning a partnership that has birthed a further four records with the label including ‘The Devil, The Heart, The Fight’ (2016), ‘The Story Is...’ (2019), ‘A Matter Of Life & Love’ (2021), and most recently ‘Shanty Punk’.

Alas, music, the tour life, was a constant raccoon scratching at the back door. Jeffrey spent nights on end sitting up in bed, and then sitting on the front porch, staring off into the dark, wondering if he could bear to leave teaching to go on tour full time. Eventually his brain caught up with what his guts had known for months. With tears in his eyes he announced to his students that he wouldn’t be back the following year, and that he didn’t feel right hollering at them to chase their dreams at all cost if he wasn’t going to do the same.

Jeffrey Martin tours full time now. He is always making music, and he is always coming through your town. He misses teaching like you might miss a good old friend who you know you’ll meet again.

**About The Ike Reilly Assassination**

Ike Reilly is a punk-poet-troubadour and the leader of the ferocious musical outfit The Ike Reilly Assassination. The former doorman and gravedigger hailing from the seemingly idyllic town of Libertyville, Illinois is the subject of the award-winning documentary Don’t Turn Your Back On Friday Night. The film, from Executive Producer Tom Morello, chronicles the songs, career and proverbial life of Reilly. Like the subject matter of his music, the film deals with booze, drugs, religion, family, financial calamity and culls over 30 years of footage to reveal a complicated and formidable artist in his pursuit of both greatness and authenticity. The film is both profound and personal.

Since his 2001 major label debut, Salesmen and Racists, Reilly has been creating rebellious punk/folk/country/blues-influenced rock ’n’ roll records that are both poetic and cinematic. He’s written songs for and collaborated with artists like Johnny Hickman and David Lowery of the band Cracker, Shooter Jennings and Tom Morello. Critical praise for his work has been plentiful. David Carr of the New York Times said, ”Ike Reilly is a kind of natural resource mined from the bedrock of music, all the values that make Rock important to people-storytelling, melody, rage, laughter are part and parcel of every Ike Reilly show I’ve ever seen.” The Washington Post called The Ike Reilly Assassination one of the best live bands in America and author Stephen King recently said “Ike Reilly is the Rock God not enough people have heard of.”

A few viral moments later and here we are! So it’s pretty sweet that you all are here. I have a ton of ideas that I wanna get out musically and I’ve turned down every label offer because I don’t want them telling me that I can’t share them with you all.
