Since being signed to Rough Trade Records when lead singer Finn Andrews was just 16 years old, The Veils have now released seven studio albums: The Runaway Found (2004), Nux Vomica (2006), Sun Gangs (2009), Time Stays, We Go (2013), Total Depravity (2016), ...And Out Of The Void Came Love (2023), and Asphodels (2025). Finn’s debut solo album One Piece At A Time was released in 2019. The Veils have toured consistently throughout their over twenty-year history and garnered a formidable reputation as one of the world’s great live bands. As well as a fruitful collaboration with Run the Jewels’ El-P for their 2016 album Total Depravity, they have also been praised by film directors Paolo Sorrentino, Tim Burton and David Lynch who have all used their music on their soundtracks.

Finn now lives in Aotearoa New Zealand with his partner and daughter.

In late May 2022, Dhruv Sharma reached a new nadir. Things had been going so well. He dipped out of Yale just two years into his degree, the music career he had been pursuing since he was a teenager in Singapore suddenly catalyzed by the runaway hit “double take,” as Dhruv. But at the start of 2022, he went to California for the first time, hoping to write his debut album with a slew of select songwriters there. Over five months, he participated in maybe eighty sessions, all abject failures. He felt both too guarded and exposed, the slickness of California and the machinery of music overwhelming his once-insular process. He flew to New Y ork without a single song, hoping a visit with an ex-boyfriend might pick him up. He was so nervous he scratched the stains from his hoody on the way to rendezvous. And that’s where he learned that his partner of two years had already moved on, that any possibility of redemption had vanished. He felt that his personal and professional lives were crumbling, that he’d been dropped into an episode of the worst sitcom ever without a clear exit.  
  
So Dhruv went home to London and sat in his apartment with his little Yamaha keyboard. He brooded over those months in the States and slowly started to sing about them—“feeling like the main character,” he offered, “but in my own tragedy.” The song that emerged, “Tragedy,” became the cornerstone upon which he began to build Private Blizzard, an album that explores his season of despair with perfect candor and finds the hooks, the spirit, and the sound to move on. Its title borrowed from “The City Planners,” a Margaret Atwood poem he treasured as a closeted queer teenager in Singapore, Private Blizzard confronts self-doubt, loneliness, rejection, and malaise with a dozen shimmering neo-soul anthems and classic ballads that feel like Dhruv’s own cures, extended here to whomever else may need them.

Chalk is the three-piece project of award-winning musicians and filmmakers Ross Cullen, Benedict Goddard, and Luke Niblock. An informed mix of the Dublins Guitar Band scene, and the sweaty hardcore dance floors of their native Belfast, Chalk are IDLES meets Daniel Avery, Death Grips meets Bicep - techno-infused industrial punk.

Closing their trilogy of EPs with the aptly titled “Conditions III”, Chalk pull on the visual and audio influences of their former releases, delivering on their promises of tension, techno and high-octane guitar rock. Interwoven soundscapes of industrial noise, rapturous techno and guitar-punk sees the Belfast trio at their most vibrant, euphoric and ambitious.

Recorded in remote Iceland, on the eve and aftermath of a volcanic eruption, this new project from Chalk sees the band explore bold new sounds and sonic territories, shaped equally by Nordic brutality and beauty and intense, oppressive urban corridors.

Chalk close their biggest year yet by solidifying their promise as some of the fiercest new performers on the scene. A string of sold-out headlines across the UK and Ireland, 30+ festival dates globally and support slots for IDLES and SPRINTS sets the band up for their biggest headline tour yet, where they will take in stages across Europe and the UK in Feb/March 2025.

The cover photograph of Matilda Mann’s debut album, Roxwell, is not entirely decipherable. Mann, a blurred figure on a quiet street, stands framed by a triptych of neon, light and shadow. The moment, a confluence of light and dark, embodies an essence of Roxwell: its interplay between darkness and hope, its blend of bitter and sweet. “I’ve found life to be this experience of feeling love and joy in a world that’s messed up at the same time”, Mann says. “Through all the ups and downs, I’d like to bring people some calm against the waves.”
