We follow a young Actress Millicent (Milly for short), as she takes on the role of a lifetime. Not only is she battling with self-doubt and imposter syndrome, she is working with a demanding director who doesn’t listen and has lost his own passion for the show. When Milly’s nerves get the better of her, she has an embarrassing outburst on set in front of everyone. The director reluctantly gives her a break to “collect” herself, during which she suffers a panic attack that transports her back in time.

Milly wakes up to a clandestine classroom where young women are being taught literature, mathematics and anything they dared dream of in the 18th century. Unable to be seen or heard, Milly bears witness to pivotal moments in the lives of some of history's most iconic women. She meets the likes of Dorothy Parks, Marie Curie, Sarah Breedlove and others, until finally she embodies her own grandmother, living through the women’s right to vote.

After finally finding her voice and her steel, she is transported back to her own time to not only confront her difficult director but conquer the fear of who she is and where she’s come from, to deliver the performance of a lifetime.
