Rough Trade are very excited to present this Interactive Live Stream Zoom Q&A with Matt Berninger - front man of internationally acclaimed group The National, joining host Andrew Trendell (NME) for an intimate in-conversation, with a bonus intermission screening of an Exclusive live studio performance, of one track from his incredible new album.

This event celebrates the release of Serpentine Prison, the debut solo record from Matt Berninger, released 16th October via Book Records, a new imprint formed by Berninger and Jones in conjunction with Concord Records.

The album is soulful, poetic and understated.... produced by renowned Memphis multi-instrumentalist Booker T. Jones (of Booker T. and The MG’s fame) the record features contributions from a wide array of notable artists, including Matt Barrick (The Walkmen, Jonathan FireEater), Andrew Bird, Mike Brewer, Hayden Desser, Scott Devendorf (The National), Gail Ann Dorsey (David Bowie, Lenny Kravitz), Booker T. Jones, Teddy Jones, Brent Knopf (EL VY, Menomena), Ben Lanz (The National, Beirut), Walter Martin (The Walkmen, Jonathan FireEater), Sean O'Brien, Mickey Raphael (Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan), Kyle Resnick (The National, Beirut), Matt Sheehy (EL VY, Lost Lander) and Harrison Whitford (Phoebe Bridgers). Additional production on the album was provided by Sean O’Brien.

Matt Berninger will join us on this live stream webinar for an intimate conversation, discussing the new album and taking questions directly from fans and audience members on an interactive live stream powered by Zoom.

Tickets for this event also include a physical copy of the incredible new album, delivered to your home address by Rough Trade.

You will receive a link for the Live Stream on the day of the event and when the show’s about to start, the link will be accessible on your ticket in-app.

This is a 300 person capacity event.
