**Songwriters in the Row featuring Lewis Beard, Sara Jean Kelley, Mickey Commodore and Jon Smith.**

When living in Nashville, Cliff Corr regularly hosted writer's nights at the legendary Douglas Corner Cafe. Those evenings always turned into a lot of fun for not only the artists, but also the audience in attendance. Opportunities for songwriters to be vulnerable, sharing more of what’s behind their songs wasn’t easily found at that time and it really resonated with listeners and other performers. In 2019 Cliff began hosting similar writer's nights at Eddie's Attic as a way to showcase the talents of friends from Nashville and Atlanta and invest in more of Atlanta's music community.

Over the last couple of years these nights have turned into Songwriters In the Row. The "In the Row" or "In The Round" style makes for a fun evening where a mix of artists can share their songs and the stories, giving the Atlanta community a special experience. This not only allows for the audience to connect with these songwriters, but also opens the door for these songwriters to get to know and build relationships with one another.

August's show will include the talents of Lewis Beard of The Wirelight, Sara Jean Kelley, Mickey Commodore and Jon Smith.

**Lewis Beard of The Wirelight**

The Wirelight began its young life as Lewis Beard’s solo project. In recent years, it has learned to grow and shrink itself on command, an otherworldly magician’s skill that it displays when the need arises. The Wirelight’s roots run deep into the melodic rock and pop that Beard has ingested like a sugary breakfast cereal since childhood and that have characterized his music across a series of bands both moderately noticeable and utterly unknown. The WIrelight dropped its first full-length album, “Megaturquoise”, in Summer 2021. It has a whole lot more where that came from.

**Sara Jean Kelley**

A river beneath a river with an edgy sense of humor, Sara Jean Kelley is an explorer, a rescuer, naturalist, and an active member of her creative community. Born and raised by the venerable bluegrass songwriter, Irene Kelley, Sara loves wild plants and animals and music and people and has the scars and stories to prove it. Sara’s songs are conceptual, yet relatable. Her voice is timeless, yet singularly her own. And her delivery can shift, like the weather, from dark and sultry, to light-as-a-feather. Sara’s latest EP, Black Snake is about life and death, transformation and rebirth, strength and resilience; all the things you experience in your early thirties that you wish you had known a decade earlier.

**Mickey Commodore (Jason Martin)**

Mickey Commodore is a stage name adopted by the American singer/songwriter Jason Martin. Born and raised in Plaquemine, Louisiana, Mickey discovered their love for music at an early age, after accidentally setting their parents’ living room on fire with a toy drum set. From that

moment on, there was no stopping him. With a voice that’s been described as “pretty good” (by his mom), Mickey has been kind of turning heads and raising eyebrows wherever he goes. Despite mixed reviews, he continued to hone his skills, developing a style that’s equal parts ambient rock, art rock, folk rock, with a touch of “I can’t quite put my finger on it”.

Mickey Commodore’s debut album, “Slow Motion Movie Scene”, is a musical journey through

the ups and downs of life, filled with catchy hooks, witty lyrics, and plenty of unexpected surprises. It’s been described as “a musical equivalent of a hug from one of those Sesame Street characters,” and we couldn’t agree more.

This is an all ages event.
