Los Angeles darkwave act, Blood Handsome, is the solo project of Gerren Reach (Young & Cold Records). Blood Handsome's sound is an eclectic mix of retro soundscapes, nostalgic synths, and cinematic undertones. Pulling from his post-punk roots and mixing his moody instrumentation, along with brooding vocals, Blood Handsome continues to evolve and mold his unique sound. His latest album, A New Calm, was released this year.

Blanketflowers (Philly)
Philly duo Blanketflowers began as a darkwave act, but they’re slowly stepping into the light. The two-years-running project has always been built around 80s synth atmospheres, and their newer releases steps further down that path, making for the brighter, poppier sounds. Their debut EP, The Middle Is A Mirage, will be released this fall.
