Bring Me The Head of Ubu Roi (Theatrical production)

Written by David Thomas, this is a rare outing for ‘Bring Me The Head of Ubu Roi’; as groundbreaking and radical in its intent as the original play by Jarry that sparked riots in a Paris theatre in 1896.

Debuted at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London in 2008, and last performed in Poland at the Akademia Muzyczna, in 2013, David Thomas revives the role of Pere Ubu, with Chris Cutler, Gagarin, Keith Moline taking on the variety of heads and hats, with Kiersty Boon again performing as Mere Ubu.

“All very anti-theatre and anti-good taste. And what made it all worthwhile? Hearing Thomas in full baritone majesty belching out that one word he was born to deliver: MERDRE!!!" (Sound Projector, 2008)
