JUPITER NIGHTS – Basilica Hudson’s new weekly series of arts events in our Gallery Building – continues with Camp Saint Helene (Catskill, NY) and WSABI (NYC).

Featuring a photographic exhibition by Camp Saint Helene vocalist Elizabeth Celeste Ibarra. 

Dylan Nowik, of Steady Sun, and vocalist Liza Ibarra began **Camp Saint Helene** shortly after moving to the Catskill Mountains. Their studio, where they did most of their writing, is located on the site of a former Christian summer camp-turned-arts-colony, which has informed much of their artistic process. Their sound lies somewhere within a shimmer of hope and a hint of doom.

Nowik and Ibarra teamed up with Alex P. Wernquest (drums) and Wesley Harper (bass and keys), to record their first album to 8-track, ½” tape, at Basement Floods Records in Catskill, New York. Their debut record, Mother, was released on September 27th, 2019. 

**WSABI** is Warped Sangot And Boss Interior — performance art-prog spanning guitar loop-based rhythm fixation music, movement, video, craft, & plant play by decolonizing Filipinx Brooklyn-based artist, Jennae Santos. Sangot is Visayan for sickle — a farming tool and combat weapon representing WSABI practice in the Harvest of love, community, and pleasure, and the Fight for collective liberation in sensorial freedom. 

Tickets are $10 with $1.30 in online processing fees.
