GARRISON STARR, LIVE FROM NASHVILLE
Garrison Starr comes to you live for a special global-streaming event from Nashville, Tennessee. A performance featuring Will Kimbrough (Roseanne Cash, Steve Earle, Emmylou Harris, John Prine), Maia Sharp (Bonnie Raitt, Trisha Yearwood, Edwin McCain), Annie Clements-Beaty (Amos Lee, Anderson East, Jennifer Nettles, Native Run), & Josh Day (Jennifer Nettles, Sara Bareilles, Brandy Clark).
In honor of the release of Girl I Used To Be, this show is committed to processing pain with her pen and the live show. Garrison thought she was done playing music. A lifetime of trauma, from her upbringing in a fundamentalist Christian household in Mississippi to more than two decades navigating the music industry, left her spirit broken. With her days as a major-label artist behind her, the Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, and producer was ready to pack it in.
Girl I Used To Be is the fruit of those labors, a nine-track album of self-discovery due to be shared with the world by Soundly Music on March 5, 2021. Lauded by MSNBC for her “gorgeous, full, rough, passionate voice that can be ultimately pensive, intimate, hurt, consoling, libidinous, or scornful — sometimes during the same verse,” Garrison reconnected with her a part of herself she’d been missing “for a long, long time” while recording Girl I Used To Be.
When the show’s about to start, the link to join will appear on your ticket, or you can access the stream link that we’ll email you on the day.
Presented by Marshall Arts USA, Merrill Artists & DICE.
