The founders of alt-country, The Long Ryders, announce two exclusive European concerts at London's Under the Bridge.

The Long Ryders were formed in Los Angeles in the early 1980s and originally associated with a movement sometimes called the Paisley Underground. With a sound reminiscent of Gram Parsons-era Byrds, Buffalo Springfield and The Flying Burrito Brothers, but with a harder edge, they anticipated the alternative country music of the 1990s by a decade.

Often credited as founders of the alt-country movement, The Long Ryders add a rough-hewn edge to the typically sentimental country sound. The first new Long Ryders’ studio album for 30 years, Psychedelic Country Soul, was released in 2019, and the fact that it went straight to number one on Amazon’s Americana charts proves their significance to the genre.
