On new track You Disappear Seattle’s La Luz push their self-styled surf noir to cruising new heights with intricate and striking guitar work that sheens over a strident rhythmic backbone.
Announcing new album Weirdo Shrine, due this summer, it follows 2013’s excellent debut It’s Alive with blossoming production from Ty Segall. During recording Ty and frontwoman Shana Cleveland left in all glitches and slips, and with nothing too polished the record sounds and feels immediate.
But music like this really comes to life when you’re swaying in a packed crowd, and we’re certain they’ll leave The Eagle Inn gripped. Make sure you’re in the room.
