When Deafheaven released second album Sunbather in 2013, they carved themselves a new niche in the metal scene. Critics lauded their hybrid of black metal and reverb-drenched shoegaze, with Pitchfork giving the album a heady 8.9.
Following the album with the darker, more twisted New Bermuda last year, the band showed themselves as one with staying power, and crowned the album with a punishing headline show at London's Heaven half way through 2016.
In April they return for their biggest to date on these shores, and it's set to be nothing less than mesmerising.
