The iconic Grandparent of Manchester’s music venues, the cool one that wears Docs better than you and can hold more gin than you could ever dream of, The Albert Hall, is hosting The People’s Concert’s one hundredth anniversary.
With the first event ever taking place in the venue, yep, you guessed it, one hundred years ago, The People’s concert is returning with a modern twist. Many moons ago two pence a ticket, now twenty five quid (and no booking fees, you’re doing alright), the show which kicked it all off with likes of ‘The Famous Range Concert Company’ and entertainer Mr Arthur Newton is now celebrating hard with a fresh take line-up ft. Boxed In, BBC Radio 6 DJ Marc Riley, Manchester’s indie icons Dutch Uncles, Field Music, and headliner British Sea Power.
All of this plus a last minute curveball in the form of Manchester born and bred DJ Mr Scruff. Can’t wait until we turn one hundred.
Presented by Trof.
This is an 18+ event.
