Based in Los Angeles, Chelsea Wolfe creates dramatic narratives of neo-folk that pound through industrial breakdowns, eclipsing highs, and grinding bass lows, pulling you through her world with unnerving pace.
Releasing last album Abyss in 2015, the Guardian called her, “the drone-folk singer who transformed sleep paralysis into high art.” Sensational in it’s description, listening to Wolfe does feel as though you’re trapped in a dark alternate reality where drums pound like demons and sounds violently crash around you.
Writing a new album for release in 2017, she returns to the UK for a Manchester show at Gorilla on April 17th.
