Building a better future for dance music - How do we push our music culture forward?

The Music Lab aims to inspire and challenge the next generation of music activists through a week of talks, workshops and panels from the industry's best. Leading professionals at the forefront of the electronic music landscape dissect essential ideas, forward-thinking visions & pressing concerns. With the Music Lab, Horst wants to connect what is locally at stake, and connect this to global concerns that are close to our hearts.

Topics to be discussed in the Music Lab, both in digital and physical form, vary from to 'Dance music in the 2020s: navigating a crisis and building a better future' to 'Let's talk about cultural appropriation and whitewashing of music' over 'The complexities of brand patronage in the arts', 'Diversification is key, how to be financially independent in a niche music scene', 'A critical look at media partnerships and the importance of independent journalism' and 'The importance of (deep) listening and training your ear'.
