Parisian electro-pop starlet Héloïse Letissier, better known as Christine and the Queens, is headed to the O2 Apollo Manchester, bringing back the audacious, sparkling, and undeniably gripping show to the city that sparked its musical direction.
Meeting the Queens while studying in London, Letissier was overcome by their sense of freedom. Combining further stylistic influence from Michael Jackson and David Bowie, the star began creating striking songs that dig with dark lyrical undertones and flirt with spacious and smooth production.
A mesmerising set at Glastonbury solidified the rising-star status, which has since dropped the rising and settled on pure stardom. Stunning LP, Chaleur Humaine, is a lesson in glistening, proud, woke-worded alt-pop. As much of a showman as an artist, don't miss this Christine and the Queens take over the live stage.
