Public Records is proud to announce a new residency and curation by Montreal's Phoebé Guillemot, who plays records as DJ FATi and is an album specialist as RAMZi. Her fifth full length, Pèze-Piton, was another beautifully unusual mix of tropical house, dub, future jazz and experimental grooves that are impossibly loose and inescapably infectious. Releasing on labels like Mood Hut, 1080p, Rvng Into. and her own Fati Records, her leftfield sounds feel at once completely alien yet also wholly organic and earthy. They are jumbled collages of trippy vocal sounds, squelchy synths and tumbling drums that real new details with each listen. Joining on her first trip at Public Records are NAP–the alias of Colombian-born Daniel R, founder of Isla records, half of Ambien Baby–presents an eclectic array of experimental, electronics and from Los Angeles, Stephen of Total Stasis.
