How Does It Feel To Be Loved? is a monthly indie pop and northern soul club night that has been running in London since 2002. Hailed as a "much-loved indie pop institution", the night is a haven for anyone who wants to dance to Orange Juice, Belle & Sebastian, The Smiths, and The Magnetic Fields alongside the best Motown, 60s pop and northern soul. Guest DJs this month are The Wave Pictures.
A few minutes walk from Oxford Circus tube station, The Phoenix is a wonderful basement bar that's hosted indie and soul nights for the last 30 years. It has a lovely wooden dancefloor, a great sound system, and a bar serving pints at pub prices.
