THE XX: FILM MUSIC
In conjunction with The xx: Night + Day Festival, the London trio have curated a night of independent cinema screenings.
This screening includes:
12:15pm – FIRST BROADCAST dir. Dan Magee (40 mins - 2001)
A side project from the creative minds at Blueprint and the makers of W.F.T.W. First Broadcast showcased many talents coming out of the British skate scene at the time.
1:45pm - Lost In Translation (dir. Sofia Coppola) Starring Bill Murray as an aging actor who befriends Scarlett Johansson a college graduate, the film documents their blossoming relationship inside a Tokyo hotel.
3:45pm - First Broadcast by Dan Magee & Adam Mondon A presentation by two of the hottest up and coming filmmakers.
3:45pm - Youth (dir. Paolo Sorrentino) A comedy-drama looks at the tensions between growing old and wanting to be young forever. The cast includes: Michael Caine, Rachel Weisz and Paul Dano. With the addition of a Q+A session at the end of both presentations.
5:15PM - Q+A PANEL - HOSTED BY BECCA GASKELL WITH IAIN SOFTLEY + MORE
Proceeds from tickets go to Brixton charities.
