Stretching from the sun-soaked day to the cool of the night, the Funk and Soul Carnival is hitting Brixton, headlined by the stomping rhythms of Afriquoi.
Combining the Congolese guitar and Gambian Kora with UK dance influences, Afriquoi make Africa-inspired stormers fit for the dance floor. Their debut album Kolaba brings organic sounds that bring a rich cultural heritage to songs that wouldn’t go amiss on a British dance floor.
Alongside the sunny soul of DJ San Soda, 12-piece genre jumpers Nubiyan Twist (DJ) and Fever 105 residents Real Nice, the carnival vibes will be strong at Brixton Jamm.
Presented by Brixton Jamm.
This is an 18+ event.
