London four-piece moa moa came together in the summer of 2019, starting out as a creative outlet for songwriter and producer James Ratcliffe - who since finishing his masters at Guildhall, has been composing for contemporary dance, film and TV adverts.
Taking influence from artists including Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Tame Impala and James Blake, moa moa came together with a shared love of unconventional songwriting paired with pop-leaning sensibilities.
The group play their first headline show to mark their debut single release in February.
