Following the success of their 10th anniversary celebrations last year, independent promoters Bird On The Wire return on Saturday 4th April with the 2020 edition of their bir(d)thday party at Hackney Wick's Studio 9294, now making the occasion an annual get-together. Keeping to the same ethos of their first ever event (the mini Bird On The Wire Festival in their then favourite basement, Dalston's sadly no-more Bardens Boudoir) they're bringing a selection of hugely exciting acts together under one roof for a full day of music.
Taking over the whole of Studio 9294 including the stunning terrace overlooking the canal, they are excited to share the initial names part of the line-up:
Porridge Radio, who are gearing up to release their debut studio LP on Secretly Canadian following a string of sold-out dates, South-London's enigmatic rapper and singer KEYAH/BLU, Fiction Records latest synth-pop signees Drug Store Romeos, rising Bristol post-punk quartet Norman and the dancefloor-ready duo Reyna Tropical. As well as live music all day, there will be a panel discussion hosted by Portland's magazine dedicated to women guitarists and bassists She Shreds, plus DJs performing throughout the day and night. More acts and special guests will be announced soon.
Presented by Bird On The Wire.
