Soul Family is hosted by the wonderfully charismatic Natalie Williams. They have presented original and choice soul for many years at Ronnie Scott’s.

While guests vary from month to month, there is always an opportunity to hear music of the highest quality where the stars of the British scene showcase their cutting edge material as well as playing soulful covers and classic tunes in an exciting ad hoc setting.

Past guests have been an eclectic mix of talented artists, including ESKA, Jamie Woon, Amy Winehouse, Jamie Cullum, Lalah Hathaway, Emeli Sande, Omar, Alice Russell, Krystle Warren, Kwabs, Bernhoft, Tony Momrelle, Imaani, Shlomo, Dionne Bromfield, Liv Warfield, Shoshana Bean, Jude Perl, Tawiah, Terri Walker, JP Cooper, Shaun Escoffery, Jon Allen, Vanessa Haynes and Natalie Duncan to name a few.

The Soul Family Band, fronted by MOBO nominated vocalist, Natalie Williams (ex Incognito), is joined by an incredible group of regular singers (and artists in their own right): Vula (Basement Jaxx), Sharlene Hector (Basement Jaxx), Brendan Reilly (Disclosure), Ladonna Harley Peters (Emeli Sande, Corinne Bailey Rae) and Annabel Williams (Ceelo Green, Alison Moyet, Rumer)

The rhythm section is made up Robin Mullarkey on bass (Zero7, Roisin Murphy, Laura Mvula, ESKA), Martyn Kaine on drums (Kyle Eastwood, Nitin Sawhney, Jocelyn Brown), Phil Peskett on keys (Moloko, Cinematic Orchestra, Nik Kershaw) and Ben Jones on guitar (Pixie Lott, Kelly Rowland, Jazmine Sullivan, Westlife and the VOICE band)

Evening Standard

“Natalie was all dazzling smiles and high-kneed strut as she belted out numbers from the album, swooping high a la Aretha….”

"This was hard-hitting Earth, Wind and Fire stuff, full of funky momentum…”

Presented by Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club.

This is an all ages event.
