FAQs

What method of pottery will i do?

We will be doing Hand-Building Method.

It’s perfect for beginners and allows for maximum creativity without needing advanced tools.

We will be rolling, cutting and using different hand techniques to create sculpted tiles that we will later dry, design and paint.

What should I do if I have accessibility needs?

Pottery Studio London is fully accessible via a lift. If you have any additional accessibility requirements or concerns, please let us know in advance and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

Can I come alone?

Absolutely! This workshop is a fantastic way to meet likeminded, creative individuals in a warm and inclusive environment.

Do I need prior experience in pottery to join?

Not at all! This workshop is open to all skill levels, from absolute beginners to experienced potters. Maritza, our amazing instructor, will guide you through every step.

Where is the workshop held?

The workshop will take place at Pottery Studio London. Just a 5 min walk from North Greenwich Station!

What should I bring?

All materials (clay, tools, etc.) will be provided. Just bring your favorite drink (BYOB) and a positive attitude! Wear clothes you’re comfortable getting a little messy in—aprons will be provided.

What does BYOB mean?

BYOB means “Bring Your Own Bottle.” Whether that’s a non-alcoholic drink like matcha, orange juice, or your favourite cocktail, it’s entirely up to you.

Is this event exclusively for Queer/LGBTQ+ individuals?

This workshop is designed as a safe and welcoming space for Queer/LGBTQ+ individuals and allies. Everyone is welcome as long as they’re respectful and supportive of the community.

Will I get to take home what I make?

Yes! After the workshop, your piece will be fired in the kiln (and glazed if time permits). We’ll let you know when your pottery is ready for pick-up.
