Take the dark and taint it yellow, George Van Den aka Yellow Days used a post break-up introspective outset and a heavy heart to weigh down his debut EP Harmless Melodies.
Husky vocals and hazy melodies in abundance, his songs are self-produced, keeping it personal along with his content inventory - some of the most honest about. Latest single I Believe in Love is a prime example of his close relationship with his beats. He pours his hang-ups into hooks and what he's hooked on into heart-wrenchingly relatable breakdowns as he meanders meticulously through lyricism of love and higher power. Supported by regimented drag style beats, sonic blossoming synth lines and his deep, raspy vocal, it's a beautiful musical embodiment of human emotion.
Likened to artists such as King Krule, he's one to watch. Catch the rising talent while you can, you can secure your ticket in three seconds. It's why JME called us "DICE app quick ting" innit.
