‘Unit31: Unfolded’ is an exhibition marking the end of a 5 year era at Unit31. The exhibition is a celebration of the people who have congregated in our home over the years by sharing their stories through original artwork, photography, installations and a schedule of evening events.

This exhibition aims to tell Unit31’s story, one which is constantly developing and unfolding. Using other people's voices, ‘Unit31: Unfolded’ portrays the journey of this unique space along with its significance to its community. More than simply recounting the life of one individual community of artists, we believe our story is also a reflection of London’s music culture and an account of almost every grassroots venue and community across the city.

Unit31 is a grassroots music venue and creative community based in east London. Our aim has always been to encourage musicians and artists to share their talent and contribute to London’s art and music culture. Over the years we’ve created an intimate and welcoming space to host events that reflect London’s modern musical tastes and cultural diversity.
