Ambient icon Laraaji began playing music on the streets of New York City in the late 1970's, improvising trance-inducing music on a modified zither/autoharp processed through various electronic effects. Brian Eno "discovered" him playing in Washington Square Park and the result was the recording of Laraaji's most widely-recognized release, Ambient 3: Day of Radiance, the third installment of Brian Eno's Ambient Series. Laraaji went on to release a prolific series of albums, captivating audiences worldwide. For this special event, Laraaji will perform the Day of Radiance album for an intimate audience. Expect cosmic realms.
Opening up is vibraphonist Will Shore.
