Oscar Simonsson, one half of Swedish jazz/electronic group Koop, returns to the Jazz Cafe to present classic Koop songs and new material in the form of his band Koop Oscar Orchestra.

Finding international fame with their 2001 record "Waltz for Koop" (released on Jazzanova Compost Records in 2001), and sophomore album "Koop Islands" the band's hits such "Summer Sun," "Baby," or "Relaxin at Club F*****N" all on "Waltz for Koop" took the New Romantic pop sound with sublime jazz influences to a global audience. Yukimi Nagano, lead singer of Little Dragon, featured heavily on vocals and the record showcased noted collaborators Earl Zinger (aka Rob Gallagher from the UK's Talkin Loud label) and Jazz Cafe favourite Terry Callier.

Expect a heady mix of rebooted Koop material - a foot-stomping jazz sound influenced by Latin jazz, swing big-bands and mambo orchestras.

Presented by The Jazz Cafe.
