From Montreal, TOPS make the kind of 80s tinged ballistic pop that defies any derision. Passionate, hook thick, expansive and explosive, they create pure perfection in under five minutes.

The quartet first came to attention after being lauded online by Grimes, but 2012’s debut Tender Opposites more than proved their validation with the likes of Noisey and Gorilla vs Bear throwing acclaim their way.

Having just released their first full-length record in three years, Sugar at the Gate shows their growth and is another accomplished piece of work from the effervescent four-piece.
