49 Chalk Farm Road, London NW1 8AN
It’s Green Man Festival’s 15th birthday and their Rising competition’s 10th. Marking their annual showdown between the best unsigned acts in the UK, this year's six finalists have been announced.
The swoonsome Siobhan Wilson, DIY-duo Bad Parents, London rockers Francobollo, lo-fi muse Keto, Welsh-grown talent Omaloma, and anarcho-punks SAP. They'll each throw down their musical gauntlets for their place on the Mountain Stage, which this year they'll be sharing with the likes of PJ Harvey, Ryan Adams, Future Islands, and The Shins.
Though the shortlist has been decided that doesn’t mean the painstaking decisions are over quite yet, as the finalists will be judged by a suitably esteemed panel of musos. Featuring experts from Clash Magazine, 6Music, Domino Records, Noisey, The Guardian, 4AD, CAA, The Evening Standard and (of course) Green Man.
Six of Britain's best unsigned acts + a brand spanking new venue to boogie in + legendary Green Man vibes = one unforgettable night in the city. You'd be daft to miss it. Join in the fun for the grand final and cheer on your favourite.
Rising is made possible because of invaluable support from Cyngor Celfyddydau Cymru | Arts Council of Wales and the PRS for Music.
Presented by Green Man.
This is an 18+ event.
