Co-produced across the UK and the Arab world, Masåfåt debuted in London, Cairo and Beirut last year. The festival returns this September, full of insightful panels, workshops, and lucky for us, intimate gigs performed by innovative artists at London's ICA.
Gaika fuses dark electronica with dancehall to create a truly unique sound with an equally strong message. His auto-tune wrapped, patois-tinged monologue melts over dragging synths and warped syncopation, all whilst dismantling security, privacy and police brutality.
Alongside Lafawndah's glitchy, industrial beats and the Ramallah Collective, they'll take over ICA on September 3rd.
Presented by 33 33 & ICA.
This is an 18+ event.
