Rough Trade's monthly new music showcase returns with some of the best up-and-coming acts in the alternative scene.

**Yumi And The Weather**

Yumi And The Weather is the dynamic musical project of a singular, ever-evolving artist who has spent over a decade shaping a unique sound that blends Garage Rock, Psych, Indie, and Electronic Pop. At the helm of the project is Ruby Taylor, who writes and produces all the music, while collaborating with a talented group of local musicians for live performances.

Constantly in-consistent, Yumi And The Weather thrives on change, with each release offering something fresh and unpredictable. This fluid approach has earned the project a reputation for its genre-defying, experimental sound that refuses to be pinned down to any one style. From the gritty, raw energy of Garage Rock to the shimmering synths of Electronic Pop, Yumi And The Weather’s music is an unpredictable yet captivating journey.

**Jetstream Pony**

Jetstream Pony combine post-punk, indie-pop and power-pop, featuring Beth Arzy (The Luxembourg Signal/Trembling Blue Stars/Aberdeen) on vocals and percussion, Shaun Charman (The Wedding Present/The Popguns/The Fireworks) on guitar and vocals, Kerry Boettcher (Turbocat) on bass, Tom Levesley on drums, and recently joined by Mark Matthews (The Dentists/The Treasures Of Mexico) on guitar.

Jetstream Pony return with a new full length album ‘Bowerbirds and Blue Things’, for release in March 2025 on Spinout Nuggets in the UK, and Shelflife Records in North America. The band’s evolution continues, and there are branches into new territory.

**COEUR À L’INDEX**

Rock trio from Brussels playing bittersweet, melancholic tunes with carefully crafted harmonies which will make you shake your butt to your most spectacular heartbreaks. Formed in 2021 around Julia Stravato's songwriting, they just released their first LP on La Vida Es Un Mus.
