GJFL and Folklore present the god-darn fabulous double bill of Cafe Manouche and The Hot Club of Jupiter.

Favourites of the London scene, Cafe bring flare and joie-de-vivre to the show in spades. Their sound goes down a storm just as well in concert halls and dining rooms as it does around the campfires at Samois. Joyful-but-sophisticated vocal stylings from Natalia Amy Douglas. Spectacular lead guitar work from Matt Kerry. A repertoire of Gypsy Jazz and Swing classics, Parisian waltzes, torch songs, jazz-jazz and bossa nova. Consummate pros, this band will keep yer knees up for hours...

The Hot Club of Jupiter was formed to provide the music for the 2013 Renault Clio online ad campaign, which was promptly judged too lewd for public consumption and withdrawn. The band, however, lives on playing their unique mix of Gypsy Swing, Hot Jazz and songs of caddish behaviour.

Intrepid adventurer violinist Kit Massey has performed all over the globe, playing with the Santiago Philamonia, Chile and studying Karnatic violin traditions in Mysore, India. Christian Miller is a much sort-after exponent of French and American guitar styles, often headhunted by visiting international bandleaders. The rhythm section of Rory Dempsey (double bass) and Matt French (drums) are veterans of many west end shows but are occasionally allowed to emerge from the sub-terrain darkness of the orchestral pit to lend their infections swing and uncanny musical telepathy to the Hot Club of Jupiter's sound.
