Haitian-Canadian Mélissa Laveaux's style is self-assured: a combination of folk, indie pop and her signature percussive finger-style blues guitar. Her writing is personal, her voice youthful and sensual, but the arrangements brightly burst of creativity, placing emphasis on rhythm and electronic sounds.
Support comes from fast-rising London guitarist Jelly Cleaver.
Presented by The Jazz Cafe.
