The Levitants are an Art Punk trio from Valladolid (Spain). Their sound is strongly influenced by the weather and the character of their place of origin. Lacking a regular bass player the band opted for synth basslines, thus achieving a unique sound that sets them apart from most Spanish rock bands.
Following the release of their first self-edited demo "Coimbra" (2016), the band quickly gained media attention and embarked on a extensive tour of more than 100 gigs throughout Spain. In 2017, they released a new single "Telescape" and premiered its video on VICE NOISEY. This song portrayed the new direction of their sound morphing into something more danceable and experimental. The Levitants began work on a new LP at a shelter in the middle of nowhere, in their beloved Castilla region in 2018. The result was Enola, their debut LP, released in 2019 by Subterfuge Records. The sound of Enola drew comparisons to post-punk groups of the late 70s and early 80s like Joy Division and The Smiths, as well as modern bands like The Horrors, Interpol and Editors.
In 2020 they are embarking on their first ever UK TOUR with special guests Reme for the London show
