Making "future facing" electronica, patten have been instrumental since they were circulating experimental CDRs in 2006.
The London production duo released their debut EP in 2011 to Pitchfork's praise that it "feels like it could exist in a parallel universe". Over the years, they've only thrown more sounds into the mix. New track Sonne knits starched and splattered beats, cyclic arpeggiators and warbling synths together in a sound somewhere between grime, techno, and tropical house if genres meant anything here.
When patten head to ICA in April, their show will shove dynamite in your pigeonholes.
