With their show at Islington Assembly Hall selling out three months in advance, Big Thief return to London early 2018, to play Camden's infamous KOKO.
The trails that Brooklyn's Big Thief aka Adrianne Lenker, Buck Meek, Max Oleartchik and James Krivchenia take us down on Capacity, the band's exquisite second record, are overgrown with the wilderness of pumping souls.
After last year's drop Masterpiece, the follow up steaks were set high. The album jumps right into lives marked up and nipped in surprisingly swift fashion. They are peopled and unpeopled, spooked and soothed, regenerating back into a state where they can once again be vulnerable. The album is thick with raw, un-doctored beauty. Most of the songs on Capacity were played for the first time in the studio and recorded the same day and the sincerity is prominent.
Check it out, then check out. You know what to do.
