ELIZA CARTHY TRIO WITH SAUL ROSE AND DAVID DELARRE
Eliza Carthy is one of the most recognisable faces in English folk revival. Revered for her mesmerising live performances, rich and powerful vocal set and fiercely beautiful fiddle-playing, Eliza performs at Grand Junction.
A multi award-winning singer, songwriter and musician from a formidable folk music dynasty (her father is Martin Carthy and her mother Norma Waterson), she’s twice been nominated for the Mercury Prize, won a number BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards and holds an MBE for services to folk.
Eliza will be joined by Saul Rose, founder member of Eliza Carthy and The Wayward Band, and musician and composer David Delarre to perform a selection of traditional songs from Conversations we’ve had before – the first album that they have recorded as a trio, which was released in summer 2020.
Summer Sessions has gone on sale at a reduced 50% capacity, ahead of the possibility of reopening to full audiences on 21 June, subject to government guidance. Safety measures will be in place, including one-way systems to ensure a safe flow of visitors and sanitiser stations. Visitors are required to wear face coverings, unless exempt.
