Following a sell-out show at Jazz Cafe earlier this year, Ben Hayes brings his incredible live interpretation of Aphex Twin's Selected Ambient Works 85-92 to Oval Space for an evening also featuring a live set from Dekmantel affiliate and Aphex fanatic Space Dimensions Controller.

Selected Ambient Works, one of the most pioneering albums of the late 20th century and the debut album of Richard D. James under his Aphex Twin pseudonym, requires little introduction. On October 5th here at Oval Space, one of ambient and IDM's landmark releases will be performed by four of the best from South London's burgeoning Jazz scene; Ben Hayes, Jake Long, Maxwell Owin and Jack Stephenson-Oliver. Expect a stunning interpretation that respects the gravity of the original whilst connecting it simultaneously to their modern musical worlds.

Also on the night, we present a live set from Belfast's Space Dimension Controller. A self-proclaimed Aphex fanatic, he'll be slamming out his own excellent electro-tinged material that's been released on the likes of Ninja Tune, Dekmantel and R&S. Anyone lucky enough to make contact with SDC's live performances will know how infectious and expertly executed they are; quite simply your ability to remain stationary will be compromised once his spaced-out earworm's nestle into your cranium.

Available on NITE DICE.

Presented by Oval Space.

This is an 18+ event.
