Celebrating 40 years of bringing fans, artists and music together in shops across the country and now the globe, Rough Trade are making this landmark birthday about you. The champions of all that’s raw and innovative are presenting six extra special nights of collaborations and performances from the likes of John Grant and Wrangler, Scritti Politti and Hot Chip’s Alexis Taylor, The Raincoats collaborating with Angel Olsen and more.

Headlining the night are London trio Skinny Girl Diet who've been ripping up stages for the last couple of years with razor guitar lines, incendiary attitude, and bursts of punk riot grrrl that rips and snarls. Noisey and Dazed have praised the trio and their recent return Yeti is a straight-faced anthem that shoots blazing riffs through white noise.

Baba Naga's psychedelic gloom is a trip. Casting entrancing calls over gritty basslines and scorching guitar, it plays like a heavy rock band left in solace to entertain the desert mirages. It’s a sound you need.

Joining them are emerging four-piece Fish, whose hoarse melodies and drifting riffs create smoky garage grunge fit to rival Seattle’s originators.

See both bands own the stage at Shacklewell Arms on October 30th.

Presented by Eat Your Own Ears & Rough Trade.

This is an 18+ event.
