Their aesthetic is steeped in the golden, strings-infused dreaminess of 70s soul, but this band of 20-somethings are all about looking forward. Led by Durand Jones and vocalist cum drummer Aaron Frazer, the Indications conjure up Jackie Wilson, Curtis Mayfield and the Impressions.

This is part of Nile Rodgers’ Meltdown. A festival showcasing the personal taste of its curators and at the helm, this year, is the disco legend and ultimate sonic trendsetter himself.
