The Venezuelan born Arca is breaking moulds right now. Residing in London and with a bewilderingly exceptional debut album under his belt, Alejandro Ghersi is on a crash course to the very top.
His hauntingly genius productions dabble with glassy synths, chopped and screwed rap vocals, orchestral strings and chunked up sub bass. En route, he's caught the ears of Kanye, having a hand in four of the tracks on Yeezus, and Björk, who's latest album was co-produced by the Venezuelan. It's quite the CV.
On 12th June he headlines St John at Hackney Church alongside fellow Xen collaborator Jesse Kanda, the visual alchemist behind FKA Twigs. This is not to be missed, but tickets won't last long, so be quick.
